Tairāwhiti waka hourua is a waka for all people of Te Tairāwhiti.
Our kaupapa is building future leaders and guardians of our moana by enabling connection to our past, present, and future, and nurturing a sense of belonging – to our waka, to our place, and to each other.
We offer seasonal opportunities to engage with our kaupapa and connect with our waka, including education and community programmes, charter sails, crew training and volunteer opportunities.
